This week we're interrupting our regularly scheduled program to introduce you to our Bodybinds Bloggers. Some voices you have come to know over the past few months and others are newbies round these parts. We have a lot of great content in store for you and we want you to know the bloggers behind the words. Editors Note: I first met Milan through twitter and when I realized we both lived in New York, we made it a priority to meet in person. While Milan is known for writing about beauty, fashion, creativity, travel and finances, I have always been fascinated by her quiet yet rumbling spirit. She's soft spoken and reserved, yet she's powerful. She reminds me of a volcano right before it erupts. You know, that deep, ethereal stirring of power. That is what I love about her. She will write pretty things but she will also explore powerful things too. I'm so excited to welcome Milan to the Bodybinds blogger team.

Bodybinds: Describe your fashion?

Milan: I don't follow trends, I wear what I like and what flatters my shape. My style is vibrant, timeless and all about accessories. I often take tribal and/or funky accessories/statement pieces and pair them with at times bohemian looks and at other times classic chic styles. I love color and prints and am a stickler for fit; tailored clothing will make you look like you have a body that's gold rather you're a size 0 or 50. Fit is everything.

Bodybinds: Describe your writing style?

Milan: I would describe my writing style as a creative, empowering and a soulful adventure. I delight in living well and encouraging others to identify and pursue what encompasses them living well.

Bodybinds: What's the most subversive thing you've ever done?

Milan: I don't think i know what this means?! Lol. I looked up the word in the dictionary and everything and still don't get it. Haha.

Bodybinds: What's your favorite part about being a woman?

Milan: Our intuition. We magically receive knowledge many times without any proof right away or ever. The more I listen to mine, the more it talks to me about any and everything like whether to take an opportunity or not, which side of the street to walk down and how the seemingly quiet and nerdy man reading the paper two tables down is a freak behind closed doors and will rock your world. If a woman can quiet her mind and trust herself, her intuition will share with her the Universe's treasures. These treasures can save her life or others. That's dope to me.

Bodybinds: Who is your favorite style icon?

Milan: Dorothy Dandridge. I love how she organically oozed grace, talent, sophistication and sex appeal all at the same damn time. That balance is feminine bliss to me.

Bodybinds: How do you like to indulge yourself and/or experience pleasure?

Milan: Anything that cultivates and fosters that head back and eyes closed savoring the delicious moments type of energy is pleasurable for me. I indulge in experiences that put me into the present by slowing me down and exciting any of or a combination of any or all 5 of my senses the same time: sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch. Candle lit baths with warm bubbles and sensual scented bath bombs while any Kem album is playing and I'm sipping on a glass of Reisling is sensory euphoria. Slow dancing to 90's slow music with a fine man who smells good in room full of people but it feels like no one else exists or matters in those moments is pleasure. A savory piece of key lime pie that's the perfect fusion of tart and sweet or adorning my body with pretty things to celebrate it like ornate metal cuff bracelets, African waist beads and body chains create an experience for me. Swinging on a swing in the park at dusk, that feeling of freedom and weightlessness, turns me into a puddle of pleasure too.

Milan is a soulful and mysterious Scorpio woman, creative writer and artist residing in New York City. She's a professional makeup artist, fashion industry professional, accessories designer and insert anything else creative you can think of. Although she loves indulging in all things creative, writing will always be her strongest passion and favorite way to express herself. With her imagination still in tact, she can turn anything into an adventure rather solo or with friends and loved ones in tow. She stands by empowering women and encouraging them to explore themselves and their femininity. She believes sexiness and feeling sexy isn't just about a look; It's about an energy one oozes. Not everyone feels sexy in a thong and 6 inch heels, maybe you feel like a porn star in boy shorts and flats, she's just saying. Whatever is your sexy, find it and revel in it. Whatever is your joy, find it and revel in it.
